The Admissions Process
Montessori School of Evergreen is a special place where students are honored for who they are. We take great care in educating the whole child, and we look for candidates that will flourish in the MSE community.
We seek students who are curious, independent, and engaged—students who embody our mission of becoming lifelong learners. We value academic curiosity, inquisitiveness, and the desire to know, and we graduate young people who go on to make a difference in the world.
Please see our admissions process below:
1. Online Inquiry Form
First, if you would like more information and to discuss our programming, please submit an online inquiry form so we can begin the process of getting to know your child and your family. Christiane Leitinger, our Director of Advancement, will contact you upon receipt of your information. Or, you may email Christiane directly at email@example.com or call 303-674-0093.
2. Tour of School
and Parent Meeting
Tours are generally hosted on Thursday mornings but an alternative time can be arranged if necessary. Please contact Christiane Leitinger, 303-674-0093 or firstname.lastname@example.org, to schedule a tour. Please review our guidelines for observing, How to Observe. When you enroll your child at MSE, you are joining an amazing community committed to a successful educational experience for every student! We value the importance of the partnership between a school and families; we want to get to know you as well as your child during the admissions process. This meeting provides a great opportunity for us to get to know you and your family and what is important to you in your child’s education.
3. Submit an Application and Record Requests
The first step in the application process is completing the application and submitting the application fee, $55 per student. If your child is currently attending another school, please have two teachers complete the Student Recommendation Form. If you are applying for 1st grade through 8th grade, we ask that you complete the Records Request Form for the current school to send MSE an official copy of your child’s records.
All applications are linked below:
4. Shadow Day and Assessment
When all application materials have been received, we can coordinate a visit day for your student. Students entering Kinder Year through 8th grade will also complete an assessment with our Lower School Division Head on their visit day. The assessment is an additional way for us to evaluate your child’s academic progress and to find out if MSE’s educational environment can meet the needs of your child. (Students are assessed through DIBELS Progress Monitoring, writing sample, math problems, observation, and oral conversation.)
After the student visit, assessment, and parent meeting, we carefully consider each family and student. An acceptance letter is sent once the decision has been made.
