Ella van Wyk

Director of Advancement

I work in advancement because it is a conduit for servant leadership, the facilitation of human compassion, and the work of supporting of a community’s potential to dream big for the betterment of others. To be able to align these opportunities with the mission of igniting a lifelong love of learning in students through the practices of Montessori is an adventure I am proud to be a part of.

I come to MSE with over 10 years of experience in advancement within a variety of organizations from small arts non-profits to a large state-run university business school. I received my M.A. in Arts Administration from the Savannah College of Art and Design. I studied overseas in the United Arab Emirates to receive my B.A. in English literature, and I am originally from Calgary, Alberta Canada (I have the cowboy boots to prove it).

I am a new resident of Evergreen. We moved here in August of 2021 to be closer to family, and I can honestly say I have never fallen in love with a place so quickly. It’s the elk that sealed the deal!

I look forward to supporting and growing this already dedicated community of donors, volunteers, and advocates for Montessori.
