Middle School Lead Teacher and Program Coordinator

John has worked at the Montessori School of Evergreen for four years. He began as a substitute teacher, splitting his time between MSE and mountain bike instructing for Avid 4 Adventure. He discovered his passion for education out on the trails, where he assisted in empowering his mountain biking students to thrive in the outdoors in a responsible fashion.

John appreciates how Montessori Philosophy includes the concept of “classroom without walls” and works to include it in the Secondary Program as much as possible. John is American Montessori Society certified with a Secondary I and II credential from the Houston Montessori Center and has a Bachelors of Science in Evolutionary Biology and Ecology from the University of Colorado. He spends most of his free time taking advantage of the myriad of outdoor activities Colorado has to offer.
