Director of Academics and Student Life, Troutdale

B.B.A. in Sociology & Gerontology - Colorado State University

M.A. in Educational Psychology - Colorado University Denver

I have worked in Early Childhood Education since 2009. I have worn many different hats from Toddler Program Director, Tween after-school lead, Assistant Director and most recently as a Toddler Assistant here at MSE.  I received my Alternative Teaching License from the Friends School Teaching Program in Boulder, CO. I am extremely passionate about Social/Emotional Education and an independent learning approach to teaching. I have participated and helped host the International Democratic Education Network Conference (IDEC) and participated in the Alternative Education Resource Organization (AERO) Conference. I joined MSE in 2019 and deeply admire the Montessori craft and its deep respect for each child's individuality. I love sharing in the discovery and delight of working with children and taking them into nature. Since returning to Administration I have loved going back to supporting teachers and families. I have enjoyed having a hand in community building and what a beautiful community MSE is!

I am a Colorado Native. My husband, Jesse, and myself are from Glenwood Springs, CO. We love to share our Mountainous upbringing with our two sons, Thacher and Huxley. We enjoy hiking, mountain biking, skiing, fishing, boating, camping and howling at the moon! I go overboard decorating the house for holidays and dressing up in costumes. Laughing is my favorite!
